The IIAMA has the objective of promoting the technical and scientifical research in a coordinated and pluridisciplinary way by the integration of research groups from different knowledge areas, as well as promoting the specialized training and technical consulting in those topics related with water, considered both as resource and as cornerstone of the biosphere.
The IIAMA is formed by ten Research groups. These groups integrate a multidisciplinary structure leading in R+D:
|Hydraulics and Hydrology||Mathematical Modelling Flow and Transport|
|Hydro-Geology||Water Resource Engineering|
|Hydraulic Networks and Pressurised Systems||Water Chemistry and Microbiology|
|Water Quality||Assessment of Environmental Impact|
|Forestry Science and Technology||Hydrological and Environmental Modelling|
There are over 50 research lines developed by the Institute, ranging the totality of the hydrological cycle, and many of them being state of the art both nationally and internationally.
The IIAMA, aware of the training needs and taking into account the demands of society, regularly organizes post-graduate training programs and specialized courses of great interest in topics related with the Hydraulic Engineering and the environment.Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering
The IIAMA develops its activity with a clear service vocation to companies and public entities, offering a firm commitment of proffesionality and efficacy, respecting at all times the confidentiality of the results.
Amongst the results of the Institute the software packages stand on their own. These packages are developed and widely used by companies and public entities. In this section you will find some DEMOS of these packages.More
